What happens after you get in touch
You describe what you have found
What it looks like, where you saw it, what time of day, and how long it has been going on. A quick look at the pest identification guide often answers it before you even call, and photographs help enormously — even a blurry phone picture usually settles what a pest is faster than a description.
We tell you what we think it is
Often we can identify it before we arrive, and sometimes we can tell you it is not a job for us at all. Both save you money.
We agree a time
We work seven days, from early morning to late evening, which means most people can get an appointment outside working hours rather than taking time off.
You get a price after the inspection
A flat number, in writing, before any work starts. If the scope changes once we are into an attic or a wall void, we stop and tell you rather than adding it to the bill.
What to have ready when you call
None of this is required, but any of it makes the first conversation much more useful and usually shortens the visit.
A photograph
Of the insect, the droppings, the damage or the nest. Put something ordinary next to it for scale — a coin, a pen — because size is what separates a mouse from a rat and a drywood pellet from a rodent dropping.
Where and when
Which room, which wall, indoors or out, and what time of day you see it. Daytime and night-time activity point at completely different species.
How long
A week is a very different job from a year. It changes the number of return visits far more than it changes the first one.
Roughly when the house was built
Construction era predicts entry points better than almost anything. Newer stucco-over-frame and older block behave differently.
Anything already tried
Store-bought sprays, bombs, bait, or another company. It genuinely changes the plan — spraying over bait, for instance, stops the bait working.
Anyone we need to work around
Children, pets, a fish tank, bee hives, chickens, someone with asthma, or a family member who cannot be moved easily. It changes what we use and where.
How to reach us, and where we are
We are a service business: the work happens at your property, not at ours. Our business address is listed above for correspondence and for checking us out — it is not a shop, and there is nothing to look at if you turn up, so please arrange anything in person in advance rather than dropping in.
The form on this page reaches us directly and is the easiest option outside speaking hours; it goes to a person rather than a queue. Calling is faster if you want an identification there and then. Either way, tell us the suburb — the service areas page lists everywhere we cover — because it tells us straight away whether we are looking at desert-edge pressure, an irrigated older block or a new subdivision, and that shapes the first questions we ask.
Our hours are the same every day of the week, including weekends and public holidays. Weekend availability is genuinely useful in this trade, because a scorpion in a bedroom on a Saturday night is not a problem that waits politely until Monday.
Before we arrive
There is usually nothing you need to do. The exceptions are worth knowing about, because they are the ones where preparation changes the result.
For a general or perimeter treatment, all we need is access. Unlock side gates, and make sure the perimeter is walkable — if bins, stored timber or a trampoline are pressed against the wall we cannot inspect or treat behind them, and those are exactly the spots that matter.
For an interior treatment, clear the cabinet under the kitchen sink and any area you have specifically asked us to look at. Cover fish tanks and turn off their air pumps, and plan to have pets out of the treated rooms until anything applied has dried.
For bed bugs, there is a real preparation list and doing it properly is most of the difference between one treatment and three. We send it to you when the appointment is made, and we would rather move the appointment than treat a room that is not ready.
For a termite inspection, we need access to the perimeter, the garage, and any crawl space or attic hatch. If the report is for a sale, tell us when it is needed — the timing matters, because lenders treat these reports as valid only for a limited window.
Common questions before booking
Do you charge for the inspection or the quote?
Tell us what you are dealing with when you contact us and we will be straight with you about what, if anything, an inspection costs for that job before you commit to anything. Nothing is charged without you agreeing to it first.
Can you tell me what it is from a photo?
Usually, yes. Scorpions, the common Phoenix cockroaches, bed bug evidence and rodent droppings are all identifiable from a reasonable photograph. Termite damage is harder and normally needs someone on site.
Do I have to be home?
For exterior-only work, generally not, provided we can reach the whole perimeter. Anything involving the interior, the attic or an inspection you want explained is much better done with you there.
How soon can you come out?
It depends on the day and where you are — the core metro is easier to reach at short notice than Anthem, Queen Creek or Buckeye. Tell us your suburb and we will give you a real answer rather than an optimistic one.
Do you work weekends?
Yes, at the same hours as the rest of the week. It is one of the reasons people call us.
Is the treatment safe around my children and pets?
It depends entirely on what is used and where, which is why we ask about your household before choosing. Everything applied carries a label re-entry interval, usually until it has dried, and we tell you what yours is and put it on the report.
What if I am just not sure it is worth calling?
Then describe it anyway. A good share of the calls we take end with us telling someone it is a cup of water down a dry drain or a branch that needs cutting back, and that is a perfectly good outcome.
What we can settle without coming out
A fair number of calls do not need a visit at all, and it is worth knowing which side of the line yours is likely to fall on before you take a morning off work.
Usually settled on the phone or from a photo: what a pest is, whether it is one that lives here, whether it is a sign of a real infestation or a single visitor, and whether it is our trade in the first place — the services page sets out what we do and do not take on. Scorpions, the common Valley cockroaches, roof rat versus mouse droppings, bed bug evidence on a mattress seam and the differences between weed species are all identifiable from a decent photograph. We can also usually tell you the shape of the job — one visit or a programme — and roughly what drives the price.
Needs someone on site: anything termite. Mud tubes, damaged timber and a wood-destroying insect report all require inspection, and no honest company will quote a termite job blind. The same goes for anything inside a wall or an attic, any infestation that has moved between units in a shared building, and a bed bug job where the extent has to be established before a treatment plan means anything. Firm pricing needs a look, because the scope depends on the perimeter and the access, and those cannot be described down a phone.
If you are on the fence, send the photograph first. It costs you nothing, and it is the fastest way to find out whether you have a problem or a coincidence.
When it is not a pest control call
Some of the things people ring pest control companies about are genuinely somebody else's job. We would rather tell you that in the first two minutes than send someone out to say it in person.
A sting or bite reaction
Medical, immediately. Poison Control on 1-800-222-1222 is free and staffed around the clock and handles Arizona scorpion stings routinely. Severe symptoms, or any sting to a small child, mean emergency care rather than a phone call.
Snakes
A different trade with a different licence. Do not attempt to move one yourself — most snake bites happen to people who were trying to handle or kill the snake rather than walk away from it.
Bees in a wall or a roof
Specialist bee removal, not general pest control. Established colonies in the Valley are usually Africanised, which makes them defensive rather than more venomous, and a wrong approach turns a nuisance into a serious incident. Keep people and pets well clear and call someone who does this specifically.
Birds, bats and larger wildlife
Pigeons roosting, bats in a roof space and mammals in a crawl space are wildlife work, with their own licensing and, for some species, legal protection and seasonal restrictions.
Water, wood and mould
A leak, rotten timber, damaged drywall or mould is a plumbing, building or remediation job. We may well be the ones who find it, because water is what draws half of what we deal with, but repairing it is not our trade.
Drains and plumbing
A drain that keeps producing roaches after the trap has been refilled has a plumbing fault behind it — a cracked line, a dry vent, a missing trap. Treating around that indefinitely is money wasted.
When it is one of these, we will say so and point you at the right trade. There is no version of this business where sending a technician to a job we cannot fix ends well for anybody.
If another company has already been out
A good share of the calls we take are second opinions, and they go much better if you bring the paperwork.
Bring the reports. What was inspected, what was found, what was applied and where. It stops us repeating an approach that has already failed, and it sometimes shows immediately why the problem persisted — a treatment aimed at the wrong species, or a conducive condition listed twice and never acted on.
Tell us about any warranty. If you have live cover on a termite treatment, using someone else can void it, and disturbing a treated zone certainly can. That is worth checking before you spend money with us rather than after. Sometimes the right advice is to go back to the original company and hold them to the warranty you already paid for, and we will say so.
Say what you were told. Not to compare notes, but because a previous diagnosis narrows things down fast — either it was right and the treatment was incomplete, or it was wrong, and those lead to completely different next steps.
And mention anything you tried yourself. Store-bought sprays, foggers and bait from a hardware shop all change what we do. Spraying over bait stops the bait working; a fogger will have scattered German cockroaches deeper into the structure. None of that is a problem, but we need to know about it to plan around it.
